The Ordering module is used for creating, editing, and exporting orders. It has several different input methods. You can create orders by typing them in manually, using a handheld device with a built-in scanner, or you can use the auto-replenishment feature and create a Computer Assisted Order. Ordering also has the capability to combine any of these methods, allowing you to generate multiple parts of an order at the same time.
Ordering Features
- Auto-replenishment ordering (based on sales history) using Computer Assisted Ordering and Inventory Control.
- Gather data using a variety of different devices and methods.
- Electronically transmit orders to vendors.
- Compare order data to Point of Sale information, such as quantity on hand, order multiple, cost, retail, and margin.
- View product information such as product description, merchandise class, transaction history – you can even view a picture of the item.
- Efficiently track and manage invalid stock numbers and problematic items using the Before and After search feature.
- Check for duplicate stock numbers.
- Flag items that need new barcode labels and print them accordingly.
- Automatically order Special Order setup in the Specila Order module.
- View two different 24 month sales graphs for each item you are ordering.

Computer Assisted Ordering is an efficient auto-replenishment method for streamlining your ordering process. It works in conjunction with the Inventory Control module and allows you to generate orders using your sales history as a basis for how many you should have in stock. While you can create entire orders with Computer Assisted Ordering, the Ordering module of Substruct Utilities has the flexiblity to combine manually collected orders with computer orders; you can even compare multiple orders and remove any inconsistencies.
