Problem

“Cannot Lock…” error Substruct Importer. Most likely cause is that there is more than one Windows user locally logged on to the server. The first user runs SubstructImporter.exe  fine(runs automatically on loggon), and any consecutive users after the first cause an error on the respective users screen.

Solution

Log off all other users beside the first. It is a good idea to deny local log on for unnecessary users using the Windows Group Policy Editor

To deny log on locally:

Run > gpedit.msc

Computer Configuration > Windows Settings > Local Policies > User Rights Assignment > Deny logon locally > Right click > Properties. Then add users  you don’t want logging on.
